So we were feeling breakfasty recently and, not really having a clear idea of where we should get said breakfast, we headed to an cute little beach community known as Solana Beach and then we, I can only think of the word ‘invaded’ a cozy little street littered with food places called South Cedros.  This is a very sweet looking little part of beautiful San Diego and we figured with all the little eateries our choices would be simple.  Well, there’s nothing simple about choosing which cute sweet niche-y little food spot to go with here.

And now, they’re little, and cute, and their mission is clear! To bring a little bit of Chicago into our life.  The real Chicago, that brought you inch thick deep dish stuffed pizzas harboring two pound of cheese, and beefsteak hoagies with spreadable cheese sauce, and of course the one thing you can’t take a trip to Chicago without: the authentic Chicago hot dog.  You’ll know it when you see it.  It’s pretty unique, and it has to fit a certain criteria.  Read more »

Why would you ever ruin a perfectly good superficial relationship by going into someone’s home.  It’s like a client or work associate.  They’re pretty much normal, they’re professional, you’ve even had lunch with them and they seem fine.  You look forward to the possibilities, the after work drinks, the golf games, the bbqs and of course the referrals…

Claire-ification: Berries and Chocolate Desserts

I don’t understand why chocolate desserts should include raspberries or other minds of annoying berries with the pesky seeds or the odd tart flavor that always seems to conflict with the sweet enveloping awesomeness that is a well done chocolate dessert.  Intrusions of that type spoil the dessert.  Leave the chocolate alone, it was doing fine by itself.
